Apply A Good Quality BB Cream For That Instant Flawless Look

Most of us have this inherent desire to look good and a lot depends on the condition of our skin. If we are flaunting a radiant complexion, half the battle is already won. These days, there are a lot of cosmetic and skin care products that hide the imperfections  and can make us appear glamorous and beautiful. The bb cream or the blemish balm cream is a popular cosmetic product we can use to appear radiant and blemish free almost instantly. This multi-purpose product has come a long way since the time it was introduced in Germany in the 1960s by dermatologists to treat scars from laser surgery or facial peels.

The blemish balm cream performs many different roles to perfection. It can be used as a moisturizer, a concealer, a primer, a foundation, a sunscreen, and more. No wonder, women today prefer using this product to take care of many of their skin related issues.  The main advantage of the bb cream is that you need just this one product to take care of a number of jobs.

The demand from blemish balm cream is growing and leading brands have been quick to cater to the same. As a matter of fact, Hydroxatone is one such brand formulating an anti aging blemish balm cream with key ingredients to erase the appearance of fine lines, age spots, and wrinkles over time. You can go online and read a few Hydroxatone reviews to understand what users of this product have to say about its efficacy. In general, people who have used the product are happy with its effectiveness and long term anti aging capabilities.

So, if you are keen on fair and flawless skin, you can opt for any of the more popular versions of the bb cream being formulated by leading cosmetic brands. The best products also would come with broad spectrum protection to effectively safeguard your skin from the harsh rays of the sun.

Simplify Summer Beauty: Hydroxatone Anti-Aging BB Cream With Broad Spectrum SPF 40 (Medium) Review

If you ask me, I think one of the most amazing products you can put on your face is a BB Cream.  Such a multi-tasking product can hydrate, conceal, protect, and serve as makeup to saves you time, but also is a great choice to add to your summer beauty ritual.

Thanks to iFabbo, I had the opportunity to try Hydroxatone Anti-Aging BB Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 40 in Medium.

The first thing you will notice is how this citrus scented product will even out your skin tone and do wonders to improve the texture of your complexion.  It does come out a bit thick so you only need a little to do your face.  The feel of this cream is lightweight against your skin with reliable light to nearly medium coverage, depending on how much you apply.

This cream needs a few minutes to adjust once on your skin before you notice how it adapts to match your coloring.  Being light but not fair, I had concerns about what the medium shade would look like; however, this suited my coloring without any problems.  In fact, I think light would have been too pale for me.  Therefore, I suggest you may want one shade darker than normal in this line.

With their peptides, vitamin C, plant stem cells, and SPF 40 broad spectrum sun protection, this BB Cream really did benefit my skin from anti-aging because it didn't seem to settle into any creases, insured the face protection from sun damage being a sunblock, and gave me a better-looking complexion the more I used it.

As far as staying power, I thought this cream held up nicely without turning greasy either.  The gorgeous soft matte finish won't disappoint you.

Unlike a tinted moisturizer, I also want to point out that  this BB Cream is wonderfully pigmented.  Some people may feel they need more coverage if they have lots of skin issues and apply their foundation on top, but I thought the coverage smoothed and perfected my complexion just fine alone.  I intend on replacing my normal foundation with this one for summer.

The 1.5 oz. Hydroxatone Anti-Aging BB Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 40 retails for $39 at ULTA.  If you haven't tried a BB Cream yet, you definitely need to look into one.  I honestly believe you'll love what this can do for you!

Breaking a sweat can break your perfect skin streak

We all know working out is great for our mind, body and our health. You work out to look hot but what if that workout makes your skin less than gorgeous? How do you deal when you walk in the gym feeling sexy and confident, only to leave with an embarrassing red face and backne? Here are some of the most common post-workout skincare woes and their solutions.

Some people are just prone to redness and skin irritations. Working out increases your blood flow and can cause severe flushing, this is much more than a healthy post-run glow. Sensitive skin can be easily irritated and combine that with sweat and you have bigger problems. Use an anti-redness moisturizer for sensitive skin to help create a barrier where your skin is moisturized and protected so it won’t get as irritated. Avoid using any skin treatments that may irritate your skin the night before workouts. Keep cool during your sweat fest by spritzing a cooling spray on your skin as much as you want.  You can find a cheap spray bottle at your local 99 cent store. After you are done working out, splash your face with cold water and wash and moisturize with anti-redness products.

Redness is also common when exercising outdoors. Sunburn is one of the most common outdoor skin issues. Even sunscreens that say they are sweat and waterproof aren’t sufficient. If you work out enough to produce a good amount of sweat, it will wash away. Be sure to re-apply sunscreen on the areas that are visible to the sun every 30 to 60 minutes. If you do forget to apply and get burned, be sure to take some Advil, apply aloe vera gel, topical cortisone cream or a healing balm like Miracle Skin Transformer’s Heal Everything Balm.  If you notice any blisters, see a doctor immediately.

A few other common problems are itchiness, hives and breakouts from breaking a sweat. If you tend to get indoor or outdoor allergies when working out, take an antihistamine before you start moving and it could curb annoying allergy symptoms. If the sweat and oil are causing you acne, first take a look at your skincare products. You could be using a sunscreen or cleanser that clogs your pores. Make sure to switch to oil-free or noncomedogenic (which means it won’t clog your precious pores.) Be sure to wear moisture wicking materials and wash your face and body immediately after working out.

How You May Be Causing Your Body Breakouts & How To Stop It

I’ve never had a real problem with acne, but every once in a while I’ll have a terrible breakout and can’t figure out for the life of me what’s causing it.  I’m sure you’re familiar with common causes of breakouts, such as diet and beauty products, but if you’ve already cut out the caffeine and dairy and washed your makeup brushes thoroughly, there may be other triggers you’re not even aware of.  Here are a few other reasons you may be breaking out all over your body, and how you can deal with it.

Working Out. It’s hard to think of many negatives associated with working out, but if you have acne-prone skin, you’re more likely to have breakouts on your face, as well as your body. Working up a sweat doesn’t cause acne, but it does clog your pores, causing dead skin cells and oils to become trapped. Fear of “bacne,” however, doesn’t mean you have to skip the workouts. But you should skip the spandex workout gear in favor of breathable, light-weight clothing made of natural fabrics that won’t cause friction or trap sweat against your skin. Also, whether you work out at home or at the gym, be mindful of sweaty equipment. Gym equipment is a breeding ground for acne-causing bacteria. Use antibacterial hand wipes to clean equipment before and in-between exercises.

Showering. After talking workouts, it’s especially important to mention showering. Not showering when you should can also cause breakouts all over your body. Make sure to shower right after every workout. I know many people like to work out before work or on their lunch break, but a quick rinse-off just won’t do, especially if you’re prone to breakouts. What you use to shower with is also important. Try using an antibacterial soap or body wash that contains salicylic acid. A popular option is Body Clear Body Wash by Neutrogena, which “treats and helps prevent breakouts on your back, chest and shoulders without over-drying or irritating your skin.” You can also use an exfoliating body wash or scrub. I recommend Dove Gentle Exfoliating Body Wash or St. Ives Purifying Sea Salt Exfoliating Body Wash. Both are great for exfoliating dead skin cells, but they’re gentle enough not to irritate a sensitive area like your chest. Furthermore, if you use a washcloth for showering, make sure to use a clean one every time.

Sleeping. If you thought there was at least one time when you didn’t have to be concerned about breakouts, bedtime would probably be it. But nope, that’s not the case. Several night time factors also contribute to those bad body breakouts. Firstly, not getting enough sleep is a major trigger. A lack of sleep raises cortisol levels, and in turn, cortisol contributes to breakouts. Secondly, try to sleep in comfortable pajamas that aren’t too tight or causing you to sweat. If that sexy, silk nighty is causing you to burn up during the night, it’s probably also contributing to your back acne. Lastly, change those sheets and pillowcases regularly. If you’ve ever fallen asleep with makeup on, I’m sure you’ve seen what damage it does to your pillowcases. Well, on a nightly basis, the dead skin cells and oils from your skin, are also rubbing off your body and collecting on your sheets and pillowcases. Continually sleeping on those same linens causes that accumulation of nastiness to clog your pores and become trapped on your skin, causing body breakouts. By the way, as with the pajamas, you may also want to skip the silk sheets if it’s very hot or you’re known to sweat a lot. Also, be mindful that the laundry detergent you’re using to wash your pajamas and linens isn’t causing irritation. If you have sensitive skin, try trading your current detergent for fragrance-free detergent.

Life. You probably know that being pregnant or getting your monthly period causes breakouts — especially on your face, but other normal life events can also trigger body breakouts. Case in point, people who travel frequently. Not only do they have to deal with dry air that causes the skin to produce more pore-clogging oils, drastic changes in weather and climate, such as what you experience going from, say, Florida to Alaska, can also cause your body to breakout. Make sure to apply a light, natural moisturizing before getting on the plane. Also, pack some Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets to soak up excess oil. Dealing with stress on a regular basis is also a common trigger. As with a lack of sleep, stress too causes cortisol levels to raise, contributing to breakouts. Finally, many studies have been done that prove genes have a prominent role in acne. So if you’ve done everything you can to prevent those body breakouts, they may just be genetic.

Anti Aging Skin Care Practices For Radiant And Beautiful Skin

Ideally, all of us would love to have a glowing and radiant skin. However, improper eating habits, lack of exercise, stress, exposure to sun’s harsh rays, and even genetic factors tend to have an impact on our skin, making it appear haggard and wrinkled as time goes by.  We would need to follow certain anti aging practices to ensure that our skin stays young and resplendent for a long time to come.

Stay protected from the sun

This is the easiest and most effective way to ensure fewer wrinkles and fine lines. The ultraviolet rays of the sun can damage your skin, leading to the appearance of the signs of aging. Stay protected from the sun’s rays to minimize the damage caused. You can wear a good quality sunscreen with a high SPF to keep your skin well protected. Otherwise, you can opt for long sleeved dresses and wide-brimmed hats to cover the exposed parts of your skin from the harsh UVA/UVB rays.

Use some of the best anti aging creams available today

Stay aware of the latest developments in the skin care sector to look your best at all times. For instance, you can find out more about some of the most effective wrinkle removal creams and other anti-aging products available today from leading brands. You can visit the official websites and check out some of the products. You can even start using the ones you like and hope to effectively tackle the manifestations of fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots.

Adopt a healthy lifestyle

Eat well balanced meals every day containing all the nutrients needed by your body and skin. Drink lots of water to flush out toxins and keep your skin hydrated from within. Stay away from addictive habits, such as smoking, which can cause a lot of the wrinkles around your mouth and eyes. Follow these simple anti aging practices and before long, you would get back the healthy and radiant skin you were starting to miss.

The Skin Responds Very Well To Revitalizing Treatment At Night

An increasing number of people concerned with anti aging remedies feel that night time is when your cream works the best on your skin. The reason is simple that apart from the fact that your skin is in rest mode at night, your anti wrinkle solution doesn’t have to battle against the elements of the outdoor environment like the harsh UV rays of the sun, the free radicals in the polluted urban air, and the dust and grime. So, your skin is able to absorb the best elements of your moisturizer at night and the difference becomes evident when you look at the mirror in the morning.

Many ingredients of anti wrinkle creams aren’t effective at night

After washing your face with plain cold water, the freshness and vitality will set you up perfectly for the day ahead. Even the best anti aging face cream won’t be able to give you the kind of results after remaining on your face throughout the day as much as it will give after remaining on your face throughout the night. One of the compounds generally present in your anti-aging cream is Retinoid, which promote faster regeneration of cells but struggle to function when exposed to harsh sunlight.

Your skin absorbs nourishment better at night
An anti aging night cream, which is essentially a moisturizer, also gets the opportunity to work on your skin without the hindrance of a foundation, which it has to contend with at night. Some of the ingredients of wrinkle creams don’t go well with foundations and hence aren’t as effective as they are normally supposed to be. Other common ingredients in skin care creams like vitamins C and E are also found to be ineffective in sunlight. Overall, the skin is said to absorb nourishment much better when you are asleep.

3 Quick and easy microdermabrasion tricks straight out of your kitchen

Wiki-dictionary defines microdermabrasion as “A cosmetic treatment in which the face is sprayed with exfoliant crystals to remove dead epidermal cells.” Minus the blast of crystals (because seriously, who has some of those lying around) the procedure sounds easy enough.

Easy enough to come straight out of your kitchen and onto your face? I think so! But before I get to that, let’s talk about microdermabrasion just a little bit more.

What The Heck Is Microdermabrasion?

To expand on the definition I mentioned above, microdermabrasion is a popular skin exfoliating procedure. It is painless, non-invasive and typically gentle enough to use on sensitive skin – meaning all of you sensitive-skinned sisters now have an easy way to exfoliate. In fact, microdermabrasion works to scrub away the outer dead layers of skin off your face.

This is important because these outer layers of dead skin can make your face look dull, haggard and dry. If untreated, this layering of dead skin cells can get caught in your pores which will eventually lead to acne breakouts.

But not to worry ladies because I’m about to share with you my 3 favorite quick and easy microdermabrasion tricks that come straight out of the kitchen.

The Old Faithful

I like to refer to this as the old faithful because it’s a quick and easy go-to that people have been using for ages.

All you need is 1 part water to 3 parts baking soda. Simply mix together your two ingredients in a bowl until they form a paste.

On a clean face, gently rub your paste onto your skin using circular motions. Be careful when applying this paste around your eyes. The skin below your eyes is the thinnest and most sensitive area of your face and you don’t want to damage it.

After about 1 minute of scrubbing, rinse off your face with lukewarm water and pat dry with a clean towel. Apply some moisturizer and off you go! Simple and effective; I like it!

*Tip — If you have extra sensitive skin, strain the natural juices from a fresh cucumber and use as a substitute for water. Cucumber has a naturally soothing effect on your skin.

A Bitter Sweet Scrub

Especially great for acne-prone skin, this next DIY microdermabrasion recipe uses only sugar and lemon to scrub your skin to radiance.

Squeeze fresh lemon juice into a bowl and add 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar. Stir your ingredients together until they form a paste. Then using circular motions, gently scrub this paste onto your face, once again avoiding contact with the eyes. Follow that up with rinsing your face off with lukewarm water and patting dry.

Lemon is high in vitamin C which makes it a natural astringent and a great ingredient to help tighten pores and brighten your complexion.

Sugar on the other hand is another one of nature’s greatest exfoliants. Rich in glycolic acid it will help clean out your pores, even out your skin tone and improve your overall skin texture. Talk about a double whammy!

Sloughin’ It with Sea Salt

Last but certainly not least, is my sea salt microdermabrasion recipe. It helps to improve circulation and slough off dead skin cells leaving your skin soft and radiant.

All you have to do is mix together approximately 1 teaspoon of Olive Oil and 1 tablespoon Sea Salt. This recipe will not be as paste-like as the others but no worries. Using clean fingers, rub onto your face with those circular motions you are so familiar with by now. After a minute, rinse off with lukewarm water, pat dry and enjoy.

What I like about this particular blend is how the sea salt promotes the body’s secretion of healthy oils and naturally relieves dry, flaky skin. Since olive oil is similar to your body’s oils, you won’t have to worry about over-producing oil. The only thing you’ll be worrying about is who to show off your gorgeous skin to first! Ahhh the dilemmas we ladies face.

Oh, and did I mention that all these microdermabrasion tricks cost $2 or less per use? So what are you waiting for? Get in your kitchen and start scrubbing your way to healthy, glowing skin!
