Hair Damage & Prevention
All of us damage our hair every day, in many ways you may not even realize. Here are some things we may do every day that causes damage to our hair:
1. Shampooing
2. Blow drying
3. Brushing and/or teasing the hair
4. Curling
5. Straightening
6. Being in humid weather
7. Coloring or bleaching
8. Perming
9. Poor diet
10. Sun exposure
11. Chlorine exposure
Damage to your hair actually affects the cuticle of the hair first. When your cuticle is damaged it pulls away and your hair shaft will break. The keratin in your hair also begins to pull away and break. All of this can lead to breakage and dull hair.
Now that you know how hair can become damaged, how do you prevent this damage? Here are some tips:
1. Go with your natural color and texture. If you do decide to heat your hair by blow drying, curling or straightening, use a heat protectant spray and use the lowest heat setting you can.
2. Only use wide tooth combs on wet hair. Brushing too harshly can lead to breakage.
3. Avoid coloring or chemically altering your hair by perming or chemically straightening your hair. If you do decide to color your hair, use a more natural dye or only do it every once in a while. Regularly coloring your hair can really damage it.
4. If you are a swimmer, wear a swim cap while swimming in salt water or a chlorinated pool to avoid damage to the hair.
5. Use products designed for UV protection for your hair when out in the sun.
6. Get regular trims to cut off split ends and prevent them from splitting further.
7. Use deep conditioners or get deep conditioning treatments from your hair stylist to help restore moisture.
8. Ask your hair stylist for the best products for your specific hair type to prevent damage.

Are you sick of shaving and having stubble grow back within a day? Or are you tired of the painful process of plucking your eyebrows? If so, hair removal cream may work for you. Here are some of hair removal cream’s benefits.
Hair Stays Off Longer
Most people know that hair removal cream makes your skin smoother than shaving does. But what you may not realize is it also keeps your hair off longer. When you use hair removal cream, you only have to apply it about once a week. In that time, you wouldn’t have any stubble grow back like you would if you shaved or plucked. Plus, the chemical depilatories in the hair removal cream exfoliate your skin and remove dead skin cells, giving your skin a healthy glow that lasts.
It’s Easy to Use
Another of hair removal cream’s benefits is how easy it is to use. Simply coat the desired area with the cream. Then, let it sit for two to five minutes. After that, wash the cream off in the shower. Just like that, your skin is free of those pesky hairs that have been plaguing you. The process is much easier than shaving, and it delivers better results.
You Can Skip the Salon
Using hair removal cream, it’s possible to create a DIY Brazilian wax. You can find creams just for this purpose in drugstores or online. These packages often come with instructions to help you recreate the type of Brazilian wax you would get at a salon. A DIY Brazilian wax has never been easier.
You Can Control the Shape of Your Eyebrows
There are now special hair removal creams for eyebrows on the market. These creams often come with an eyebrow shaper, so you won’t have to worry about creating uneven eyebrows or plucking off too much hair. Once you have your new, perfectly shaped eyebrows, you’ll want to show your eyes off by using the best eye shadow shades for your eye color. After you use hair removal cream, bushy or uneven eyebrows will be a thing of the past.
When you use hair removal cream in place of waxing, shaving, and plucking, you’ll be amazed at the results. So dress up, choose one of your best eye shadow shades, and give yourself a makeover. Then, hit the town and show off your great new look.

Shaving is that annoying
thing that most women do daily. Here are some tips to make hair removal better,
faster, easier and have those smooth limbs for longer.
1.
Exfoliate before you shave. If exfoliate before
you shave, you get rid of dead skin cells that can hinder a really close shave.
2. If you
run out of shaving cream, use hair conditioner or shower lotions. You might also
want to try shaving with baby oil for a really close shave. Just keep in mind
it will gunk up your razor.
3. If you
use disposable razors, use a new one every three uses.
4. Shave
downwards then upwards for the closest shave possible. This also works great for
those who have sensitive skin.
5. Never
slide a razor sideways across your skin or you’ll end up with lots of cuts.
6. Don’t
shave over any existing wounds.
7. Bend your
knees when you are shaving your knees to avoid missing any sections.
8. Use
razors with five blades. Don’t be afraid to try men’s products because often
they work really well for shaving your legs.
9. If your
armpits tend to become very dark, try natural treatments to help lighten the
hair and skin such as cucumbers and lemon juice. You can also try waxing to
help pull the hair out at the root and lighten the look of your skin without
hair.
10. If your
skin gets irritated from shaving, use after shave solutions such as aloe vera
gel, baby oil or a cold compress to soothe the skin. Put on lotion when your skin
is damp to ensure it is sucking in all the moisture.
11.
Make your own shaving creams! Use ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil and essential oils to make a natural shaving cream.
12. Pull the
skin taut to help the blade move across the skin easier. Only do this if it doesn’t
irritate the skin.
13. Use short
strokes to avoid cutting yourself accidentally, especially around tricky areas
like your knees.
14. Don’t use
soap because it will irritate your skin and could cause you to cut yourself
easier.
15. Lastly,
if you’re fed up with shaving, waxing and everything else, try laser hair
removal. It can be costly, but it will save you money in the long run that was
spent buying shaving products.
