5 Things To Avoid For Amazing Skin

We spend a lot of money on anti-aging creams, cleansers, lotions, makeup and other products to make our skin look amazing. Yet, often we don’t think about preventing certain things that make our skin have bad effects in the first place. Your skin’s health is greatly affected by the inner layer of skin, called the dermis, as opposed to the outer layer of skin. Even wrinkles are caused by what is happening inside the inner layers of skin. Here are five things you want to avoid if you want to keep your skin youthful as long as possible:

1. Harmful rays from the sun. This is a no brainer. Always wear sunscreen when outdoors, but try to wear protective clothing to shield your body from the sun too. Sunscreens only protect from UV light, but most of sunlight is made up of infrared and visible spectrum which can go through your skin and sunscreen easily and create free radicals that cause aging. So keep those sunglasses handy! You can also fight against sunlight’s damage by eating healthy. Choose foods that have skin-saving antioxidants such as green leafy vegetables, yellow or orange vegetables, blueberries, blackberries or antioxidant supplements.:

2. Toxins. Toxins are all around us in this day and age. Avoid smoking or being around second hand smoke, drink filtered water, choose organic foods and natural cleaning solutions and try to avoid any pollution in your city. You can also do a detox to rid your body of some of these toxins you naturally pick up in daily life.:

3. Avoid sugars and starches in your diet. Glucose molecules, found in sugar and starchy foods can actually attach themselves to collagen and cause them to collapse! So when you eat processed and junk foods, you are causing your skin to wrinkle faster.:

4. Stress. Chronic stress is devastating to your health and also gives you accelerated aging. If you are under chronic stress and find it damaging to your health and skin, do what you can to take a step back and practice yoga, breathing exercises, meditation or another method you find helpful.:

5. Excessive alcohol consumption. Heavy drinkers, beware, this causes your skin to age much faster. Alcohol is a toxin that dehydrates our skin cells. Drinking alcohol in moderation is fine, but the more you drink, the faster your skin will age, simple as that.:

Did you know these were all things to avoid for healthy skin? Share with us your thoughts!

Wrinkle Removal Made Easy With Hydroxatone

Remember the day you looked in the mirror and were shocked to find those unflattering fine lines around your eyes? Remember how you suddenly felt aged? Remember how you wished those lines would simply vanish? Well, all of us go through this one day sooner or later. But what if it is possible to delay such unpleasant natural processes for many more years? What if you are able to keep those wrinkles away and continue to look years younger? It is all possible with the amazing wrinkle removal products from Hydroxatone.

Why is Hydroxatone anti wrinkle cream special?

The Intensive Anti-Wrinkle Complex from Hydroxatone is highly concentrated and thus more effective than most other anti aging products. The super-concentrated, paraben-free formulation has been specifically designed for women serious about visible and long-term reduction in the appearance of wrinkles.

Most women have issues with fine lines and wrinkles that show up on the forehead and around the eyes. Hydroxatone Intensive Anti-Wrinkle Complex targets wrinkles in both these areas. The dermatologist-tested formulation helps erase the appearance of fine lines around the eyes and reduce the appearance of wrinkles – even deep ones – on the forehead.

Accomplishing a lot more than wrinkle reduction

The three major ingredients in Hydroxatone – Matrixyl 3000, Hyaluronic Acid and Argireline – work together to help women achieve a great deal more than just wrinkle removal. With advancing age, most women notice a change in their general skin tone. The skin that was once soft and smooth becomes rough, dry and uneven. Hydroxatone helps improve the skin tone and make it more radiant.

Hormonal changes associated with age can sometimes lead to discoloration or hyperpigmentation of skin. Thankfully, Hydroxatone has been formulated to deal with these issues as well. It helps reduce discoloration and hyperpigmentation in addition to replenishing the skin with moisture.

What You Might Not Know About Dry Skin

When the weather starts getting chillier, some of us start getting the dreaded dry skin. Flakes, peeling, scales, itching… the works. If you’re prone to dry skin or only occasionally get it, there are still some things you might not know about dry skin. Here are some facts about dry skin that you’ll need to know to combat it this winter.

You can obtain dry skin and hair just by taking hot showers. Do your skin a favor and keep the water lukewarm, even in the winter when a hot shower feels oh so good.

Dry skin can be caused by lack of humidity, especially in dry climates. Air travel also can make your skin very dry so carry a heavy cream with you and use frequently. Invest in a humidifier if your home gets very dry in the winter months or you live in a dry climate.

You might have a skin condition like eczema or psoriasis. If your skin is dry and itchy and seems to keep getting worse even while using heavy creams and hydrating well, see your dermatologist.
If your skin is getting irritated, think if you’ve been using a new soap or detergent. This could be causing dry skin.

If you’ve recently been in the sun or gotten sunburn, your dry skin could be from sun damage. As your tan fades, your may see dryness. You’ll need a heavy duty lotion and aloe to heal your skin and remember to use sunscreen next time!

Use the right products and determine your skin type. You might think your skin is dry when in reality, you may have combination skin. If your face is oily with dry patches, look for products that help a combination skin type.

After a lukewarm shower, pat yourself dry with a towel and apply lotion that will absorb quickly into the skin for the best lotion benefits.

If you have serious dry skin and flakes, use a body oil to shave with than regular shaving cream or soap. It will help your skin combat the dryness, especially the extra dryness caused by shaving frequently.
Use oils as well as lotions to combat really dry skin!

Even if your skin is very dry, remember to exfoliate and use a heavy lotion afterwards. This will get rid of dead skin cells that make dryness even worse.

Discover the Best Anti Aging Product for Your Skin

http://hydroxatone.com/

Glowing, smooth and soft skin is undoubtedly the best asset of all women. It gives them confidence to dazzle in their personal and professional life. However, as they enter their thirties, women start experiencing skin problems. Wrinkles are perhaps at the top of the list of skin problems in women. This is where the use of anti-aging creams gain prominence.

Start skin care before it is too late

Ideally, you must not wait for wrinkles to appear to start using anti wrinkle products. When the first signs of aging such as dryness and roughness are evident, it is time to start using anti wrinkle creams. Otherwise, it may be too late to revive the skin once the wrinkles and fine lines have really set in. Consulting renowned dermatologists or going in for expnsive wrinkle reduction procedures may not be a viable option for most of us. For this reason, most women choose the best anti aging creams such as Hydroxatone.

All-round care and protection for your skin
To maintain elasticity, the skin must be well hydrated. Hydroxatone has been formulated to enhance skin hydration across all age groups by over 20 percent. Improved skin hydration keeps the skin replenished and reduces formation of new wrinkles.

Sagging of skin begins when collagen production drops in the skin with increasing age. Matrixyl 3000 - one of the key ingredients in Hydroxatone boosts natural collagen levels in the skin to ensure more firmness and even skin tone. The anti aging cream also reduces the appearance of wrinkles in the eye and forehead area amazingly fast.

The very purpose of using anti wrinkle formulations is to address the key factors responsible for the appearance of wrinkles. So, the cream must maintain the elasticity of skin, improve collagen production and reduce the damage due to sun exposure. Hydroxatone is one product that does all this and a lot more. Visit http://hydroxatone.com/ to learn more about this unbelievable product.

Home Remedies to Rid Your Skin of Stretch Marks

Stretch marks are notoriously caused by pregnancy, but you can also get them from rapid weight gain or weight loss, puberty or muscle building. It can also be caused by medical conditions such as diabetes, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, or Cushing’s syndrome. They are classified as marks that look unusual on your skin and can be embarrassing. Stretch marks are caused by rapid skin stretching, which causes the tissues in your elastic dermis layer of skin to break down. Then reddish or purple scars appear. They can become white over a long period of time.

While most of us just think of stretch marks and pregnant women, men can develop them too from the other causes above. They generally develop on your thighs, calves, hips, breasts, belly, lower back and upper arm.

There are many creams and gels out there that work to reduce the appearance of stretch marks, but there are natural home remedies to try as well.

Cocoa butter. Cocoa butter is great to use to prevent stretch marks from developing and also to get rid of the appearance. You may have heard of pregnant women rubbing cocoa butter on their thighs, buttocks area and abdomen during all stages of pregnancy.
Shea butter. Massage shea butter also works great. When applying cocoa or shea butter, make sure to massage to improve circulation.
A mixture of shea butter, olive oil and almond oil. Use this twice a day for a few months to get rid of stretch marks.
A mixture of aloe vera gel, vitamin E oil and olive oil also works wonders.
A mixture of two tablespoons of almond oil and a tablespoon of castor oil.
A mixture of lavender oil, almond oil, olive oil, emu oil, rosehip oil, vitamin E oil and flaxseed oil.
A mixture of one tablespoon of wheat germ and one tablespoon of calendula oil.
A mixture of a half teaspoon chamomile oil, a half teaspoon lavender oil and another carrier oil (think almond oil, jojoba oil, argan oil, etc.). Apply for 15-20 minutes and then wash off with cold water.
Be sure to drink plenty of water to get rid of stretch marks and improve the elasticity of the skin.
Remember that stretch marks can be reduced considerably but you can’t get rid of them completely with natural remedies. If you are really bothered by the appearance of your stretch marks, see a dermatologist for what more you can do to get rid of them.

Apply A Good Quality BB Cream For That Instant Flawless Look

Most of us have this inherent desire to look good and a lot depends on the condition of our skin. If we are flaunting a radiant complexion, half the battle is already won. These days, there are a lot of cosmetic and skin care products that hide the imperfections  and can make us appear glamorous and beautiful. The bb cream or the blemish balm cream is a popular cosmetic product we can use to appear radiant and blemish free almost instantly. This multi-purpose product has come a long way since the time it was introduced in Germany in the 1960s by dermatologists to treat scars from laser surgery or facial peels.

The blemish balm cream performs many different roles to perfection. It can be used as a moisturizer, a concealer, a primer, a foundation, a sunscreen, and more. No wonder, women today prefer using this product to take care of many of their skin related issues.  The main advantage of the bb cream is that you need just this one product to take care of a number of jobs.

The demand from blemish balm cream is growing and leading brands have been quick to cater to the same. As a matter of fact, Hydroxatone is one such brand formulating an anti aging blemish balm cream with key ingredients to erase the appearance of fine lines, age spots, and wrinkles over time. You can go online and read a few Hydroxatone reviews to understand what users of this product have to say about its efficacy. In general, people who have used the product are happy with its effectiveness and long term anti aging capabilities.

So, if you are keen on fair and flawless skin, you can opt for any of the more popular versions of the bb cream being formulated by leading cosmetic brands. The best products also would come with broad spectrum protection to effectively safeguard your skin from the harsh rays of the sun.

Simplify Summer Beauty: Hydroxatone Anti-Aging BB Cream With Broad Spectrum SPF 40 (Medium) Review

If you ask me, I think one of the most amazing products you can put on your face is a BB Cream.  Such a multi-tasking product can hydrate, conceal, protect, and serve as makeup to saves you time, but also is a great choice to add to your summer beauty ritual.

Thanks to iFabbo, I had the opportunity to try Hydroxatone Anti-Aging BB Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 40 in Medium.

The first thing you will notice is how this citrus scented product will even out your skin tone and do wonders to improve the texture of your complexion.  It does come out a bit thick so you only need a little to do your face.  The feel of this cream is lightweight against your skin with reliable light to nearly medium coverage, depending on how much you apply.

This cream needs a few minutes to adjust once on your skin before you notice how it adapts to match your coloring.  Being light but not fair, I had concerns about what the medium shade would look like; however, this suited my coloring without any problems.  In fact, I think light would have been too pale for me.  Therefore, I suggest you may want one shade darker than normal in this line.

With their peptides, vitamin C, plant stem cells, and SPF 40 broad spectrum sun protection, this BB Cream really did benefit my skin from anti-aging because it didn't seem to settle into any creases, insured the face protection from sun damage being a sunblock, and gave me a better-looking complexion the more I used it.

As far as staying power, I thought this cream held up nicely without turning greasy either.  The gorgeous soft matte finish won't disappoint you.

Unlike a tinted moisturizer, I also want to point out that  this BB Cream is wonderfully pigmented.  Some people may feel they need more coverage if they have lots of skin issues and apply their foundation on top, but I thought the coverage smoothed and perfected my complexion just fine alone.  I intend on replacing my normal foundation with this one for summer.

The 1.5 oz. Hydroxatone Anti-Aging BB Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 40 retails for $39 at ULTA.  If you haven't tried a BB Cream yet, you definitely need to look into one.  I honestly believe you'll love what this can do for you!

Breaking a sweat can break your perfect skin streak

We all know working out is great for our mind, body and our health. You work out to look hot but what if that workout makes your skin less than gorgeous? How do you deal when you walk in the gym feeling sexy and confident, only to leave with an embarrassing red face and backne? Here are some of the most common post-workout skincare woes and their solutions.

Some people are just prone to redness and skin irritations. Working out increases your blood flow and can cause severe flushing, this is much more than a healthy post-run glow. Sensitive skin can be easily irritated and combine that with sweat and you have bigger problems. Use an anti-redness moisturizer for sensitive skin to help create a barrier where your skin is moisturized and protected so it won’t get as irritated. Avoid using any skin treatments that may irritate your skin the night before workouts. Keep cool during your sweat fest by spritzing a cooling spray on your skin as much as you want.  You can find a cheap spray bottle at your local 99 cent store. After you are done working out, splash your face with cold water and wash and moisturize with anti-redness products.

Redness is also common when exercising outdoors. Sunburn is one of the most common outdoor skin issues. Even sunscreens that say they are sweat and waterproof aren’t sufficient. If you work out enough to produce a good amount of sweat, it will wash away. Be sure to re-apply sunscreen on the areas that are visible to the sun every 30 to 60 minutes. If you do forget to apply and get burned, be sure to take some Advil, apply aloe vera gel, topical cortisone cream or a healing balm like Miracle Skin Transformer’s Heal Everything Balm.  If you notice any blisters, see a doctor immediately.

A few other common problems are itchiness, hives and breakouts from breaking a sweat. If you tend to get indoor or outdoor allergies when working out, take an antihistamine before you start moving and it could curb annoying allergy symptoms. If the sweat and oil are causing you acne, first take a look at your skincare products. You could be using a sunscreen or cleanser that clogs your pores. Make sure to switch to oil-free or noncomedogenic (which means it won’t clog your precious pores.) Be sure to wear moisture wicking materials and wash your face and body immediately after working out.

How You May Be Causing Your Body Breakouts & How To Stop It

I’ve never had a real problem with acne, but every once in a while I’ll have a terrible breakout and can’t figure out for the life of me what’s causing it.  I’m sure you’re familiar with common causes of breakouts, such as diet and beauty products, but if you’ve already cut out the caffeine and dairy and washed your makeup brushes thoroughly, there may be other triggers you’re not even aware of.  Here are a few other reasons you may be breaking out all over your body, and how you can deal with it.

Working Out. It’s hard to think of many negatives associated with working out, but if you have acne-prone skin, you’re more likely to have breakouts on your face, as well as your body. Working up a sweat doesn’t cause acne, but it does clog your pores, causing dead skin cells and oils to become trapped. Fear of “bacne,” however, doesn’t mean you have to skip the workouts. But you should skip the spandex workout gear in favor of breathable, light-weight clothing made of natural fabrics that won’t cause friction or trap sweat against your skin. Also, whether you work out at home or at the gym, be mindful of sweaty equipment. Gym equipment is a breeding ground for acne-causing bacteria. Use antibacterial hand wipes to clean equipment before and in-between exercises.

Showering. After talking workouts, it’s especially important to mention showering. Not showering when you should can also cause breakouts all over your body. Make sure to shower right after every workout. I know many people like to work out before work or on their lunch break, but a quick rinse-off just won’t do, especially if you’re prone to breakouts. What you use to shower with is also important. Try using an antibacterial soap or body wash that contains salicylic acid. A popular option is Body Clear Body Wash by Neutrogena, which “treats and helps prevent breakouts on your back, chest and shoulders without over-drying or irritating your skin.” You can also use an exfoliating body wash or scrub. I recommend Dove Gentle Exfoliating Body Wash or St. Ives Purifying Sea Salt Exfoliating Body Wash. Both are great for exfoliating dead skin cells, but they’re gentle enough not to irritate a sensitive area like your chest. Furthermore, if you use a washcloth for showering, make sure to use a clean one every time.

Sleeping. If you thought there was at least one time when you didn’t have to be concerned about breakouts, bedtime would probably be it. But nope, that’s not the case. Several night time factors also contribute to those bad body breakouts. Firstly, not getting enough sleep is a major trigger. A lack of sleep raises cortisol levels, and in turn, cortisol contributes to breakouts. Secondly, try to sleep in comfortable pajamas that aren’t too tight or causing you to sweat. If that sexy, silk nighty is causing you to burn up during the night, it’s probably also contributing to your back acne. Lastly, change those sheets and pillowcases regularly. If you’ve ever fallen asleep with makeup on, I’m sure you’ve seen what damage it does to your pillowcases. Well, on a nightly basis, the dead skin cells and oils from your skin, are also rubbing off your body and collecting on your sheets and pillowcases. Continually sleeping on those same linens causes that accumulation of nastiness to clog your pores and become trapped on your skin, causing body breakouts. By the way, as with the pajamas, you may also want to skip the silk sheets if it’s very hot or you’re known to sweat a lot. Also, be mindful that the laundry detergent you’re using to wash your pajamas and linens isn’t causing irritation. If you have sensitive skin, try trading your current detergent for fragrance-free detergent.

Life. You probably know that being pregnant or getting your monthly period causes breakouts — especially on your face, but other normal life events can also trigger body breakouts. Case in point, people who travel frequently. Not only do they have to deal with dry air that causes the skin to produce more pore-clogging oils, drastic changes in weather and climate, such as what you experience going from, say, Florida to Alaska, can also cause your body to breakout. Make sure to apply a light, natural moisturizing before getting on the plane. Also, pack some Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets to soak up excess oil. Dealing with stress on a regular basis is also a common trigger. As with a lack of sleep, stress too causes cortisol levels to raise, contributing to breakouts. Finally, many studies have been done that prove genes have a prominent role in acne. So if you’ve done everything you can to prevent those body breakouts, they may just be genetic.
